Secure Recycling and Data Destruction

Your data security is important, particularly when it comes time to discard computers, copiers, and media. Although these items seem like trash once you no longer need them, in reality, there are those out there who know this hardware is a potential goldmine of information and confidential data.

Why deleting the data is not enough.
Simply deleting files or reformatting a hard drive may not be enough to ensure that the information it contains is completely erased. Data can still be retrieved using specialized software or by someone with the technical expertise to recover it. This could leave your business vulnerable to data breaches or other security threats.

You may need to be compliant.
Data destruction is an important aspect of compliance with various data privacy regulations and standards. In many cases, organizations are required to securely dispose of personal and sensitive data when it is no longer needed or when it reaches the end of its lifecycle. This is particularly true for dictates such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), NIST, HIPAA, and other requirements put in place by regulatory bodies.

What can you do?
According to the Department of Defense (DOD), data is only considered gone once the hard disk has been either written over at least seven times with compliant data erasing software, or physically destroyed.

We understand the importance of data security and are pleased to be able to offer two levels of hard disk data destruction services.

Certified Data Destruction – $20.00 per hard drive/device
(NOC Pro clients $5 discount will be applied)
Laptop/Desktop/Server/Cellphone

Each laptop, desktop, or server hard drive will be data destroyed (shredded) with a data destruction certificate.

Mass Data Destruction – $10.00 per hard drive/device
(NOC Pro clients $5 discount will be applied)
