How to Turn a Website into a Desktop App
There are countless web pages offering a wealth of resources, utilities, and references that can greatly assist businesses of all kinds in achieving their goals. What’s even more amazing, these web pages can be turned into applications for simpler, more convenient access, provided you’re using Google Chrome.
Let’s go over how to do so!
How to Turn a Web Page into a Desktop Application
The first step is to navigate to the correct page in Google Chrome. Once you’ve found it, click on the three-dot menu. There, you’ll find the Cast, save, and share option. In this submenu, you’ll find the capability to Install page as app…
Doing so will add a new icon to your desktop. Clicking this icon will open a version of this website in a dedicated application window, without most of the navigation and menu options that Chrome usually offers.
From There, You Can Use Your New App as You’d Use the Website
Hopefully, you can find some use for this feature! Make sure you check back here for more tips and IT best practices!
